Who we are

Inhouse Legal Solutions Pty Limited ABN 16 003 663 456 is a consulting company dedicated to serving the needs of inhouse legal and compliance professionals in Australia.

The principals behind Inhouse Legal Solutions are Kevin Lewis (managing director) and Catherine Lewis (director and company secretary).

What we do

Inhouse Legal Solutions is not a law firm and does not provide legal services as such. However, it has access to the services of qualified lawyers and compliance professionals with significant inhouse experience. It is therefore able to provide a range of specialist services to inhouse legal and compliance departments, including:

>	Reviewing or implementing:
	>	legal risk management systems;
	>	legal and regulatory compliance systems; and
	>	systems for monitoring and controlling the use of outside counsel;
>	Membership of, or expert advice to, compliance committees;
>	Compliance training programs;
>	Compliance audits;
>	Investigations of compliance breaches;
>	General advice or assistance on inhouse legal and compliance projects, including:
	>	project design;
	>	project management; and
	>	project implementation.

How we charge

We take a flexible approach to charging for our services.

For advisory or consulting work, we generally charge an agreed hourly rate which takes account of the nature, complexity and urgency of the work and the skills and experience of the staff involved. We are always prepared, however, to consider alternative fee bases for particular projects, including fixed fees and fees wholly or partly contingent on success.

For compliance training programs, we generally charge a fixed fee agreed with the client at the time of our engagement for the work involved in designing the training program and then a per session fee for any training sessions that we present.

This web site

This web site was launched in November 2001. We've designed it to be a comprehensive one stop web resource for inhouse lawyers and compliance professionals in Australia and, of course, to promote us and our services.

We have deliberately chosen not to include fancy pictures or graphics that slow down your browser and reduce your efficiency in using this site. We hope you will find it attractive, interesting and useful without them.
